CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WAND) -- After going 10-3 last year expectations are high with players returning to Champaign for another year.
Over Christmas Bret Bielema flew to California to try and convince offensive lineman J.C. Davis to come back to Illinois for another year and well it worked.
"It just showed how much he really really cared, how much he really wanted me to be there. It's difficult cause you don't know what could happen but you just got to believe in the team and everything that is going around just believe in yourself." Davis said.
