CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WAND) — After spending a week outside the AP top 25, the Illinois football team is back in the rankings.
Illinois moved up to #23 in the AP poll, and jumped two spots to #23 in the US LBM Coaches Poll.
The Illini's strength of schedule is ranked #6 in the nation and #2 in the Big Ten, with their only two losses coming to #1 Ohio State and now #2 Indiana.Â
Coming off a bye week, the Illini resume action on Saturday when they head to Washington to take on the Huskies. Kickoff is set for 2:30 p.m. CT on the Big Ten Network.
