CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – The Big Ten released the conference schedule for the 2027 baseball season on Wednesday. The Fighting Illini will face 10 total conference opponents during Big Ten play, with five weekend series set to take place at Illinois Field.

Illinois will host Iowa, Michigan, Ohio State, Penn State, and Washington during the 2027 campaign while taking on Maryland, Michigan State, Nebraska, Northwestern, and UCLA away from home.

The Illini begin Big Ten competition with a road series at Nebraska from March 12-14 before playing Ohio State and Iowa at home over back-to-back weekends from March 19-21 and March 26-28, respectively.

Consecutive road series at Northwestern (April 2-4) and Maryland (April 9-11) are next up for the Orange and Blue to open the month of April. The Illini return home to face Michigan from April 16-18 before taking their open week the following weekend.

Resuming Big Ten play from April 30-May 2, Illinois heads to the West Coast for an away series at UCLA. The Illini will then host Washington from May 7-9.Â
The final road trip of the regular season is set for May 14-16 at Michigan State. Illinois will then close Big Ten play at home for the first time since 2018 with a three-game set against Penn State from May 20-22.

Illinois is led by head coach Dan Hartleb, who will enter his 22nd season at the helm of the program in 2027.
