Illinois continuing to build chemistry and grown on defense

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WAND) -- Illinois women winners of their last two games with a win last night over Rutgers.

Head Coach Shauna Green said with an up and down season her team is continuing to build chemistry on the court.

The Illini have been without one of their leaders Gretchen Dolan who is out indefinetly with a knee injury so it's now next women up mentality..

Green said in the last two games they have played elite defense which will need to continue in the regular season and as the post season get here.

The women hit the road for their next two games, with Northwestern first on Sunday. Tip off for 2 p.m.
