CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WAND) -- It's one of the best times of the year, as the Big Ten Tournament is underway up in Chicago.

Illinois doesn't play until Friday after earning a three-round bye for finishing in the top four of the conference.

The Illini took the last two days off to rest after a physical regular season. Now it's win or go home.

It'll take three wins in three days, likely going through top-seeded Michigan.

Heading into tournament play, head coach Brad Underwood said they will heavily lean on vets like Kylan Boswell, Tomislav Ivisic, Ben Humrichous and Jake Davis to teach the young guys about what an abrupt ending can feel like.

Illinois will open up tournament play Friday March 13, against Wisconsin. Tip-off is scheduled for around 1:30 p.m. at the United Center.
