CHAMPAIGN, Ill. — Season tickets for the 2026 Illinois football season are on sale to the general public Tuesday April, 21 starting at 12 p.m. CT. With momentum continuing to build around the program, the Fighting Illini's on-field success has led to historic crowds at Gies Memorial Stadium, and remaining tickets are expected to sell quickly. For more information visit the 2026 Season Tickets Central page.

Last season, recharged Fighting Illini fans sold out Gies Memorial Stadium during four straight games, tying for the program's longest sellout streak in 38 years, and the team's average attendance (58,350) marked its best since 2009. Since head coach Bret Bielema's arrival in 2021, attendance at Illinois games has increased more than 65%, one of the top marks in the nation.

Extremely limited options also remain available in Illinois' premium seating spaces. For more information on premium seating, fans can visit the Premium Seating page.

Illinois also anticipates selling out of student season tickets for the third consecutive season in 2026. Through the first four months of the calendar year, 2026 student season tickets have seen a 138% increase in sales from the first four months of 2025. Students are encouraged to secure their season tickets today (Student Tickets page).

Over the last two seasons, the Fighting Illini posted back-to-back 9+-win campaigns for the first time in program history. The Orange and Blue capped the 2024 season with a win over South Carolina in the Citrus Bowl then defeated Tennessee in the Music City Bowl to close out 2025, finishing ranked in the top 25 in back-to-back seasons for the first time since 1989-90.

Under Bielema, the Fighting Illini have won 37 games, tied for the program's most over any five-year period since 1901-05. Over the last two seasons, the team won 19 games, the most in a two-year period in program history, and set a record with 12 wins at Gies Memorial Stadium. Illinois' 15 Power-4 wins over the last two years are the fourth-most in the Big Ten, and the Illini are 8-0 against nonconference opponents, including the program's first two SEC wins in history.

Illinois will host seven games at Gies Memorial Stadium in 2026. The home schedule includes four Big Ten contests against Purdue, Oregon, Nebraska, and Iowa, following nonconference matchups with UAB, Southern Illinois, and 2025 ACC Champion Duke.  Â
