(WAND) - Only a few central Illinois teams were in action Monday as boys' soccer regionals continued, but the games did not disappoint in delivering in big moments.

Altamont hosted Teutopolis in a semifinal that required extra minutes. The shoes trailed 2-1 late in the match, but with less than five minutes remaining in regulation, a long throw in took a hop and found the head of Landyn Buening, who just pushed across the equalizer. Less than 10-minutes into extra time, a corner kick by Simon Lee linked up with Isaac McWhorter who headed the ball into the net for a goal that would prove to be the 3-2 game-winner.

On the other side of the bracket, Newton, the #2 seed in the Altamont regional, was able to find multiple goals against Pana in a 8-1 result. Brock Anderson netted five scores alongside teammate Luke Farley who tallied a hat-trick of his own.

MacArthur went on the road to Normal for a 3A semifinal, but were unable to score in a 9-0 result, ending their season.
