MONTICELLO, Ill. (WAND) -- There's a new era in Monticello athletics as they opened their new gym today.

It's named after Sages' legend Arthur ‘Buz’ Sievers.

Arthur ‘Buz’ Sievers Center is state of the art. TVs, giant scoreboards and an outstanding basketball floor.

Sievers is a 1966 graduate of Monticello and has served the school district in many ways for over 50 years.

Sievers says he's honored to have his name on this beautiful new gym.
