DECATUR, IL. (WAND) - Happy Wednesday! After an active start to the week, it will be much calmer for the next few days. There will be a few spotty showers this morning, but most of the area will stay dry. Rain will exit completely by mid-morning. Cloudy skies will give way to a little sunshine as temperatures warm up into the upper 60s for the afternoon.
Temperatures will drop quickly overnight with partly cloudy skies. We will wake up in the 40s on Thursday morning. Temperatures will stay below average on Thursday in the upper 60s. There will be a mix of sun and clouds for most of the day. Temperatures will be a bit warmer overnight in the 50s for Thursday and Friday night.
Rain chances return on Friday. There could be a few rumbles of thunder, but most of the area will just see light to steady rain. Totals should stay below an inch. Dry and warm conditions will move in for the weekend. Temperatures will top off in the upper 70s on Saturday and Sunday. Memorial Day is looking like an early taste of Summer with highs back in the 80s.
