LIV 2020 New Today Tonight Forecast.png

DECATUR, IL. (WAND) - Happy Saturday. If you’re looking forward to outdoor plans this Memorial Day weekend, you may be keeping a close eye on rain chances. The good news is that those chances (during the day) are low.

After a cloudy start to the day, we’ll be returning to warmer temperatures and more sunshine. Temperatures will top out in the upper 70s. A few light sprinkles may arrive as early as this evening, but the bulk of the expected rain will hold off until overnight tonight.

Widely scattered showers roll through overnight. A few heavy downpours and rumbles of thunder come with them, but by sunrise, rain will be exiting the region. We’ll be drying out by mid-morning, and by midday, sunshine will gradually return. Temperatures are once again in the upper 70s for Sunday.

We’ll hold onto dry conditions through Memorial Day Monday, but occasional, light showers return to the forecast throughout the rest of the week.
