A rainy and mild start to the day

DECATUR, IL. (WAND) - Happy Friday! Storms will be in the area through the morning. Some thunderstorms are expected, but these should stay below severe weather limits. Isolated storm chances will linger through the afternoon. Temperatures will stay steady in the low 70s through the evening.

Saturday will start cooler as temperatures drop into the upper 40s overnight. Sunshine should take over and warm temperatures into the 70s for the afternoon. It should be a gorgeous day to be outside. Clear skies will drop into the upper 40s overnight. Sunday should be mostly Sunny with similar temperatures and mostly sunny skies.

Severe weather chances will ramp up for Monday afternoon and evening as a warm front lifts across the region. A cold front will approach through the evening. This will trigger strong thunderstorms through the evening. All modes of severe weather will be possible.
