A summer feel in Illinois ... for now

DECATUR, IL. (WAND) - Happy Thursday! Another hot day today across central Illinois, as temperatures have risen back into the mid 80s for many of us, and some communities even reaching back towards those 90-degree temperatures! A few clouds linger in the skies overhead, and more clouds will begin to build overnight into Friday.

It will be a mild night ahead under some cloudier skies and overnight lows in the lower 60s for many of us. Those clouds will stay with us as we head through our Friday, but temperatures will be taking a slight hit, but still staying in the lower 80s for many of us to end your workweek.

Milder and drier conditions will become the theme through the weekend and into next week, but staying very pleasant to wrap up the month of May and start June.
