DECATUR, IL. (WAND) - Happy Monday! A few storms are moving through Central Illinois this morning. There has been a lot of lightning overnight, but storms have stayed below severe weather limits since midnight. Temperatures will be warm today as winds will be gusting out of the southwest. There is a blowing dust advisory in place today due to the strong winds. Be careful this afternoon, and watch out for low visibility at times.

Expect high temperatures to hit the upper 70s this afternoon. Storm chances will also ramp up through the afternoon and evening. Storms have a low chance to hit severe limits this evening. There is a marginal (level 1 out of 5) for severe storms. These will be scattered, but be weather aware through the evening.

Temperatures will stay mild overnight in the 50s. Showers and storms will diminish overnight. Rain will linger through the morning and early Tuesday afternoon. Winds will shift from south to north through the evening. This will cause temperatures to plunge into the 40s overnight.

Temperatures will stay below average through the rest of the week. High temperatures will climb into the low 70s by the weekend.
