DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) - A warming trend that started across Central Illinois Monday will develop into another heat wave as summer winds down.
After a few nights with lows in the 40s, we're starting off Wednesday much warmer in the 50s to around 60°.

Highs today and tomorrow will warm into the mid-to-upper-80s. We'll be in the low-to-mid-90s from Friday through Tuesday. It'll become more humid, too, but not at the levels we saw for much of the summer.
A few showers are possible this weekend into early next week, but chances are slim. Appreciable rain is not expected as drought conditions worsen.
