DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) - No immediate relief is in sight for the heat wave underway across Central Illinois.
After two straight days of highs of 95° in Decatur, the hottest of the year and the hottest since last June, it'll be a little hotter today.
Highs are expected in the mid-90s again (96° in Decatur), but the humidity will make it feel like 100°-110°.
Mid-90s are forecast Tuesday with low-to-mid-90s the rest of the week.
The slight drop in high temperatures is due to a few more clouds and some hit-or-miss showers and storms each afternoon and evening Tuesday through Saturday.
The "Heat Advisory" continues through at least Thursday evening.
