Quiet weekend, storms on the horizon

DECATUR, IL. (WAND) - Happy Saturday! The weekend kicks off with pleasant conditions and quiet weather, but our next chance for severe weather returns at the start of the workweek.

Patchy fog will be possible for a few areas this morning, but this concern clears early, and we’ll be back to mostly sunny skies by the afternoon. Temperatures will top off in the low 70s, and winds will remain mostly calm.

Tonight, we remain mostly clear, allowing temperatures to dip back into the upper 40s once again. Aside from a few clouds, we head into Sunday with continued clear skies, sunshine, and 70s.

Thunderstorm chances return Monday evening. All severe weather hazards are expected, from large hail to strong winds to tornadoes. An enhanced risk is already in place across the entire area.
