DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) - Weather. It works in cycles. Stormy one day, sunny the next, windy one day, calm the next, etc etc.

This week is no different. WAND weather always tracks what happening upstream and how it plays a role in our weather. Despite the recent decrease in humidity, there is more warmth/heat and higher humidity heading our way from the west.

However, before the following week is up, additional changes will take place.  Stormy weather over the western Pacific, southwest of Alaska and east of Japan will usher in our next cool front. Said front will displace the next batch of heat and humidity allowing for more weather like we had today.

The process will continue to repeat itself until we see larger changes in the position of the jet stream, which drives storms across North America. That'll typically take place with the change of season.
