DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) — History of the Heartland reports that the sale of the historic Powers Mansion has finally closed.
The century-old mansion has been the focus of local attention as it was auctioned off twice this summer. The first auction concluded in early June with a sale price a little over $300,000. However, that buyer was unable to complete the purchase and the house was sent back to auction.
