MOWEAQUA, Ill. (WAND) - Jamesly Jesse is bringing back the 'Packathon' again in 2026 to help his home country of Haiti.
The Eagle Scout raised over $35,000 and helped pack more than 100,000 meals last year.
He's asking for community help again.
"$0.44 makes a meal, so $1 would give you two meals, for sure. So, even if we could get everybody to donate $10, that makes a pretty huge impact," Jesse said.
It's not just money he's asking for; he needs hands to help load food into trucks.
"It's a lot of hands-on work," Jesse said. "Putting labels on, scooping the different materials, the beans, the rice, the dry protein."
The Packathon is Sunday, April 12, at Central A&M High School in Moweaqua.
