CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WAND) - The Champaign Park District is announcing updates to Kaufman Lake Park.Â
Changes will include removing the boathouse and replacing it with green space and picnic tables. The fishing pier will not be affected.Â
Work on the park will start on Tuesday, May 26. Work should be done by Friday, May 29. The areas of the park surrounding the boathouse, including the fishing pier, will be closed during that period.Â
Fishing on other parts of the lake will still be allowed.Â
