CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WAND) — Sunday marked the first day of Curtis Orchard's 2025 season as it opened it's doors for folks looking to get their fall fix a little early.

Co-owner of the Orchard, Rachel Coventry, said they have a host of fun new additions for this season.

"Soon enough we will have four mazes that everyone can enjoy. Our kittens will be out running around, we've got goats bleating in the background, and we're going to have baby bunnies that people can pet as well," she said.

The orchard has also changed its pricing. Instead of paying for things like the mazes with individual tokens or tickets, now customers can pay a one-time price to access all the fun.

"We've tried to really make it family and budget friendly, but also make it a fun place for all ages to enjoy," Coventry said.

U-Pick is not up and running yet, but Coventry said in the next week or so, their first varieties of apples will be ripe for the picking.

If you're waiting for a certain variety of apple, text "APPLE" to 217-504-8818 for alerts.
