DANVILLE, Ill. (WAND) - Downtown Danville will soon be sparkling with holiday magic.Â
The annual Downtown Danville Lighting Ceremony will be on Saturday, November 15 from 5 to 8 p.m.Â
The official lighting will be at 5:30 p.m.Â
Santa will be taking pictures with kids at Temple Plaza from 5 to 6 p.m.Â
There will be free hot chocolate and food for purchase by local food trucks, That Wiener Wagon & Mixed Up Mobile.Â
Carolers will roam the streets.Â
New this year, there will be a holiday photo contest with visitors encouraged to scan QR codes posted around downtown and upload their pictures with the Christmas light photo ops. Evert week, photos will be chosen and featured on the City of Danville Parks and Recreations Facebook Page.Â
