The Decatur Public Library will celebrate its 150th anniversary with a live theatre performance in October. 

DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) - The Decatur Public Library will celebrate its 150th anniversary by welcoming Live History for a three-day escape room experience in October.

The event will take place at the library from 1-6:45 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 16, 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 17, and from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 18. 

This event is free and open to the public. 

Live History is an award-nominated theatre company that brings local history to life through specialized performances unique to each location it visits.  

The company has performed in international venues including Australia, Canada, Ireland and New Zealand, according to a DPL press release.
