(WAND) — Looking for a holiday light show near you? WAND News has compiled a list of places to view the holiday glow from a drive or walk in central Illinois

Holiday Glow at Allerton Park and Retreat Center will be open on the following dates in December: 6,7, 8-23, and 26-31; from 5-9 p.m. See the lights in an illuminated walk through the Formal Gardens, and the accessible Wandering Wounds Trail for a winter wonderland delight.
Winter Nights at the Prairie Farm in Champaign opens on Nov. 29 and runs through Jan. 5 from 5-9 p.m. There is no cost to go through the accessible light display, with hot chocolate in hand on Fridays and Saturdays. Donations will be accepted to keep the event going.
Tees on Trees lets guests walk or drive a golf cart after dark, through an enchanting path of beautifully decorated trees. Afterward, pull up a hay bale to roast s’mores by the fire pit and sip on hot chocolate. Decatur Park District dancers will be sure to entertain you the rest of the evening. Reservations are required. Limited number of tickets sold for each 10 minute time slots. $9 for Carts / $6 for Walking This event has concluded.
Wonderland in Lights in Effingham opens Thanksgiving night, November 25th, and runs until January 2nd. Hours are from 5-9 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 5-10 Friday & Saturday. Community Park is located on East Temple Avenue in Effingham. Santa visits Wonderland in Lights every Saturday from Thanksgiving to Christmas to bring special presents to the children. The Wonderland in Lights is free, but donations are appreciated.
Shelbyville's Festival of Lights is open Nov. 22 through Dec. 29. Come and see one of the biggest and brightest displays in central Illinois. The festival has over 500 LED displays. There will be special events throughout the season that feature live music, Festival of Trees, cookies with Santa and more.
The 40th annual East Peoria Festival of Lights is happening Nov. 29 through Jan. 5. The Festival’s mascot is the wooden soldier Folepi, whose name serves as an acronym for "Festival of Lights, East Peoria, Illinois." Admission is paid at the entrance booth and they accept cash, credit cards and debit cards. $10 for regular vehicles.
Check out lights and animals during Zoo Lights at the Henson Robinson Zoo. Take a stroll and enjoy thousands of lights and themed lighted displays or hang out under the tent to try a s'more after roasting a marshmallow over the fire pit. Buy tickets online, $7.50 for adults, $5.50 for children 3-12, 2 & under are free. This event has concluded.
Head on out to 'Winter Nights' at Praire Farm in Champaign. The event is free and the farm is open for the holiday season from 5-9:00 p.m starting on November 29, 2024 and going until January 5, 2025.
See a parade of lights on Small Business Saturday in downtown Champaign on Saturday, November 30. The 24th annual event starts at 1:00 p.m. with a parade at 6:00 p.m. There will also be a Meet Santa event at the Virginia Theater on December 3,10, and 17 from 5-7:00 p.m. The event is presented by the Christie Clinic.
