DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) - U.S. Marshals took a fourth person into custody in connection with a deadly shooting in Decatur in May.
Decatur police said Javonte Reed, 20, was arrested at a location along E. Clay Street in Decatur on Wednesday. He is currently in the Macon County Jail and is facing a first-degree murder charge.
DPD responded to reports of shots fired near North Pool Street and West Center Street on May 22.
Police found 23-year-old Deamontae L. Weaver shot inside a home in the 900 block of West Center Street. Weaver was taken to a hospital, where he later died.
Kylin Walker, 19, was arrested on June 5 near E. Eldorado Street in Decatur.
Police previously arrested 21-year-old Jarvis Smith Jr. on the day of the shooting on a charge of first-degree murder.
Zyishon Estes, 20, was also booked on a first-degree murder charge after being arrested on May 29. Estes was denied pretrial release earlier this month.
