(WAND) - Communities across central Illinois are holding celebrations for Independence Day and America's 250th birthday.

WAND has compiled a list of Fourth of July celebrations, including fireworks, parades, and festivals, taking place across the area.

Knights Action Park Fireworks Extravaganza - The event will feature free music, a picnic and fireworks.

- Where: Knight's Action Park, 1700 Knights Recreation Dr., Springfield, IL
Rock the Dock - The event will have food, music and fireworks. Live music will be performed by Dave Luttrell and the Storm Front. Tickets are $10.

America 250 Celebration - This celebration of Independence Day and America's 250th birthday will feature a performance from the Springfield Municipal Band followed by fireworks over the capitol building.
- When: Municipal Band plays from 7:30-9 p.m., fireworks at 9 p.m.
- Where: Downtown Springfield Y Block, 4th and Jackson St., Springfield, IL

Champaign

Champaign County Freedom Celebration - Entertainment and concessions, with a performance from Captain Rat and the Blind Rivets at the main stage.

- Where: Main stage along Kirby Avenue between 1st and Oak Streets
Stars & Stripes Celebration - Face painting, balloon twisting, live music, and food and drink specials from the Farmhouse Restaurant.

Arcola

Fourth of July celebration - Celebration featuring food, activities and a firework show at dusk. Admission is free. There will be bounce houses, a foam party and lots of food vendors.

Chatham

Freedom Fest - Free to attend celebration with food, drinks and live music from Glass and Steel.

Clinton

America 250 Celebration - Three day celebration in honor of the country's 250th anniversary. The days will feature plenty of contests, concerts and a car show. More information can be found here.

Thunder Over Lake Vermilion - Firework show featuring live music by Logan Kirby. There will be beverages from 5-8 in the dining room at the Boat House by the lake. There is a $5 cover charge for wristbands

Fisher

Fisher Sesquicentennial Celebration - Celebrating 250 years of America and 150 years of Fisher, this four day celebration will feature plenty of events including a time capsule opening, scavenger hunt and fun run. More information can be found here.

Monticello Freedom Festival - Festival featuring food, music and fireworks.

Independence Day celebration - Food and dessert trucks, concession stands, bounce houses and fireworks.
- When: July 3, 6:30-8:30 p.m.

Oakwood

Fourth of July celebration - Features a kids zone, music all day, touch a truck, a foam party, and food trucks all day. Fireworks will take place at night, and there will be a parade in the morning.

Champaign County Freedom Celebration Parade
- When: July 4, 11:05 a.m.
- Where: Starts in lot E-14 at First Street and Kirby Avenue, continues east on Kirby Avenue to Lincoln Avenue, then proceeds north on Lincoln Avenue to Illinois Street, ending at the ISR parking lot.

Arthur
