SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WAND) — With National Workzone Awareness Week approaching, Illinois transportation and law enforcement officials are teaming up to keep people informed about work zone safety.
On Tuesday, April 22, members of the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT), Illinois State Police (ISP) and other local agencies will be at the King Pin Lanes parking lot at 3115 Sangamon Ave. to talk about reducing work zone accidents in the state.
IDOT staff will be available for questions after the event to answer questions about local projects and talk about their personal experiences in work zones.
