DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) — History of the Heartland is teaming up with the Lincoln Square Theater to host an open house on Tuesday, May 13 to celebrate the theater's new renovations.
A volunteer group took over the theater in 2020, working to clean, paint and rejuvenate the space.
Some of the renovations include a new roof and a new concessions area with "state-of-the-art" pizza ovens.
During the open house, free popcorn and pizza samples will be given out to visitors. There will also be a concert poster sale featuring collector grade vinyl posters.
“This is an opportunity for supporters to get something cool for your collection and contribute to the future renovation projects at the Lincoln!" said Ayn Owens, founder of History of the Heartland. "All proceeds and donations collected during the open house will go to future renovation projects."
The event will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
