MAHOMET, Ill. (WAND) — Local businesses in central Illinois will be on display this weekend at the Everything Mahomet Business Showcase.
The free, family-friendly event, put together by the Mahomet Area Chamber of Commerce, brings together local businesses, organizations, and entrepreneurs to give residents the opportunity to discover local products and services.
Organizers said the showcase is designed to be an engaging walk-through experience. There will be a variety of interactive booths featuring live demonstrations, hands-on activities, and product samples.
"Events like the Everything Mahomet Business Showcase help strengthen the connections between local businesses and the community they serve," said Lauren Hays, the executive director of the Mahomet Area Chamber of Commerce. "It's a chance for residents to discover new services, meet local professionals, and experience the energy of our thriving business community all under one roof."
In addition to showcasing local businesses and organizations, the event will feature activities for families and children including inflatables, face painting, glitter tattoos, hair tinsel, photo opportunities, and a special appearance by the dancers and cheerleaders at Twist & Shout.
The showcase will be from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, March 28 at the Mahomet-Seymour High School Field House.
