Motley Crue coming to perform at Illinois State Fair

SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WAND) - The Illinois State Fair Grandstand concert series is getting its first dose of rock and metal.

Mötley Crüe will perform on Saturday, Aug. 10.

Tickets will go on sale Saturday, March 2 at 10 a.m. via Ticketmaster.

Tier 3 - $88 / Tier 2 - $98 / Tier 1 - $110 / SRO Track - $110 / Blue Ribbon Zone - $165

*A $30 Pre-Show Party ticket is offered as an additional upgrade for all paid concerts.

Motley Crue is a heavy metal band formed in 1981 by bassist Nikki Sixx and drummer Tommy Lee. Vince Neil is on vocals and Mick Mars is on guitars.

The band has sold over 100 million albums worldwide.

“Fans have been waiting for a rock addition to the Illinois State Fair Grandstand lineup,” said Illinois State Fair Manager Rebecca Clark. “Mötley Crüe puts on a legendary live performance, and we are so excited to bring these rock icons to Springfield.”

The 2024 Illinois State Fair runs from August 8 through August 18.
