DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) - A new Free Little Library is opening in Decatur.Â
The Little Free Library is a small, free book-sharing box where anyone can take or leave a book.Â
The new location will be at the 1808 E. Locust St. in Decatur.Â
"This Little Free Library is about more than books, it's about connection," said Shara LeBeau, Executive Director of the Decatur Housing Authority. "We hope it becomes a gathering spot where kids and families can discover stories and share with each other."Â
The ribbon cutting will be held Sept. 11 at 10 a.m. It will include pastries and coffee and plenty of books to choose from. The neighborhood is invited to attend.Â
Another Little Free Library is located at the children's museum in Decatur.Â
