CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WAND) - A public meeting is planned to talk about replacing the Garden Hills Park playground in Champaign.
The Champaign Park District will hold the meeting Thursday, March 5 at 6 p.m. at the Garden Hills Academy (2001 Garden Hills Dr.) gymnasium.
People can offer feedback on proposed playground equipment presented by Nutoys Leisure Products. Children are encouraged to attend the meeting.
The redesign will prioritize updating and modernizing equipment and fixing issues caused by flooding.
Construction will take place in summer 2026.
Garden Hills Park is located at 1701 Bloomington Rd. and was obtained by the Champaign Park District in 1957.
