NORMAL, Ill. (WAND) — A 16-year-old girl was hurt after a shooting near the Illinois State Campus Saturday.

According to the Normal Police Department, officers responded to reports of gunshots near the intersection of South Main Street and Osage Street just before 1 a.m. 

That is just southwest of the ISU main campus. 

When officers arrived, they found a 16-year-old girl who had been shot. Police said she was taken to the hospital, where she is in stable condition.
