JACKSONVILLE, Ill. (WAND) — A suspect was arrested after a Valentine's Day shooting left one person dead in Jacksonville.Â
According to the Jacksonville Police Department, officers responded to reports of shots fired in the 800 block of West Chambers Avenue just after 5:40 p.m. Saturday.
When they arrived, officers found a person, later identified by the Morgan County Coroner as 31-year-old Marcquila Harris of Jacksonville, who was shot.
Harris was taken to the hospital, where they died.Â
Jacksonville Police said officers worked through the night to find a suspect in the shooting. On Sunday, police arrested 23-year-old Marissa Teubner of Jacksonville.
Teubner was arrested on charges of first degree homicide and aggravated discharge of a firearm.
