Scovill Zoo new howler monkey

New howler monkey born at the Scovill Zoo in Decatur

DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) - Scovill Zoo in Decatur is monkeying around with its latest update.

The zoo announced in a Facebook post that a new howler monkey was born on March 13.

Additionally, the zoo said that it was unsure whether its newest arrival is a boy or a girl, but is "thrilled" to welcome them to the family. 

The mother and baby were also said to be "doing great."
