(WAND) - One person is dead after a semi went off the interstate and struck a tree, Illinois State Police said.
Illinois State Police and EMS were called out for the crash on Interstate 74 westbound at milepost 167 at 8:34 a.m.
The single-vehicle crash involved a semi going off the road, hitting a tree, and catching fire.Â
The driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
ISP told WAND News just before 2:30 p.m. that all lanes are clear. Drivers are urged to be careful when driving through the area.
