CHARLESTON, Ill. (WAND) — A 51-year-old man accused of possessing child pornography was denied pretrial release Monday morning.Â
Douglas Overmyer was booked in the Coles County Jail on Friday.
According to a charging document, Overmyer possessed and shared a video file in late May depicting a young girl and adult man engaged in a sex act.
Child porn possession is a Class X felony that carries a six-year minimum sentence and a 30-year maximum sentence.Â
Overmyer is due back in court for a preliminary hearing on Dec. 15.Â
