URBANA, IL- Two people had to be taken to Carle Hospital Monday after an accident on I-57 just north of Rantoul.

The Illinois State Police District 10 office says that just after 9 a.m. Monday, Ryan Deleo of Watseka lost control of his car near milepost 255, drove into the ditch and then flipped.

Deleo had to be extricated from the vehicle and taken to Carle Hospital. The passenger, Edgardo Medina of Watseka, was also extricated from the car and airlifted to Carle.

Deleo was ticket for not having a valid driver's license and improper lane usage.   Â
