CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WAND) - Christian Mahone has been named the new principal of South Side Elementary School.
The Champaign Unit 4 School Board approved the appointment.
Mahone has 15 years of experience. He has served as an elementary school teacher, reading interventionist, athletic director, assistant principal intern, principal intern, and elementary principal.
He previously served as principal of South Side Elementary School from 2019-2025.
He has a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from Knox College and a Master of Educational Leadership from the University of Illinois Springfield.
