Champaign -Â A Champaign County Board Committee will vote on restaurants displaying their health inspection scores.
Â
The new law would require restaurants to display their score on color coded placards. If approved the whole County Board will vote on the rule next week.
Â
The sign would let customers know how clean and safe the place they are eating at is. A Champaign County Public Health official suggests posting a green, yellow or red notice on the front door, which would indicate the results of the restaurant's most recent health inspection.
Â
The proposal has already been approved by the County Board of Health. If passed by the whole board, it would go into affect January 1st.
