SAVOY, Ill. (WAND) - Champaign County Coroner Duane E. Northrup released the name of a man who died after being involved in a crash in Savoy on November 7.
Northrup said Jacob M. Garcier, 40, of Tolono, died Saturday after crashing at approximately 4:30 a.m. on November 7.Â
Garcier was pronounced dead at 1:56 p.m. at Carle Foundation Hospital – Critical Care Unit on November 11.
Northrup said Garcier died of multiple traumatic injuries.
No autopsy will be performed.Â
His death is being investigated by the Champaign Coroner’s Office and the Champaign County Sheriff’s Office.
