A Danville woman was arrested for producing a firearm during a road rage incident. 

DANVILLE, Ill. (WAND) - A Danville woman was arrested for producing a firearm during a road rage incident. 

The Danville Police Department said in an Aug. 21 press release that officers were dispatched at 8:42 a.m. Thursday to Danville Area Community College regarding a report of a road rage incident where a firearm was produced.

Officers learned that the incident began near the intersection of E. Main Street and Indiana Street, where the victims said they were followed by the suspect, later identified as Shoshanna Boens of Danville, to the intersection of Baumgart St. and Home Street.

Once there, the suspects shared that Boens had made threatening statements directed at them while holding a firearm. 

A search warrant was performed on Boens' car, where a firearm was found. 

Boens was arrested on charges of aggravated assault and aggravated unlawful use of a weapon. 

DPD said that this was an isolated incident, and there was no danger to those on the DACC campus.
