DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) — A man arrested for the murder of a 65-year-old has entered a plea agreement.

Court records show on May 8, Trimarion D. Howell, 21, entered a guilty plea to murder.

According to Decatur Police, in April 2024 Howell and John E. Inman, 41, shot and killed Darrell D. Coon Jr.

The shooting occurred in the 800 block of S. Jasper Street. Police said he was shot multiple times.

Howell's sentencing is scheduled for June.

Inman's next court hearing is scheduled for the end of June.
