UPDATE: THURSDAY, AUG. 14:Â The search is still underway for a suspect accused of shooting two officers in Ford County.Â
Gibson City Police said they responded to reports of a naked man, 70-year-old David Jordan, walking in the 100 block of Ash Street around 2:30 a.m. Saturday morning.
Illinois State Police provided an update Thursday, saying both officers who were shot were released from the hospital on August 10.Â
The 6-year veteran Ford County Sheriff's Office deputy was shot in the left knee and the left arm. The Gibson City Police Department officer who has served for one year was shot in the left hip. Neither officers fired their weapons. They are both on paid administrative leave.Â
The Illinois State Police Division of Criminal Investigation Zone 5 is continuing to search for Jordan in connection with the shooting.Â
UPDATE: MONDAY, AUG. 11:Â Illinois State Police are seeking public assistance in their search for a suspect who allegedly shot two officers in Ford County.
ISP requests that people and businesses in the area check their camera footage from the time of the incident to now and report any potential footage of Jordan by calling their local police or by submitting a tip on ISP’s Crime Tip website.

GIBSON CITY, Ill. (WAND) — (SUNDAY, AUG. 10) Gibson City Police said they responded to reports of a naked man walking in the 100 block of Ash Street around 2:30 a.m. Saturday morning.
Officers identified the man as David D. Jordan.Â

According to police, Jordan shot a GCPD officer and FCSD deputy when they tried to make contact with him at his home. Both officers were taken to the hospital and treated for non-life-threatening injuries.Â
Police said the house caught fire shortly after the shooting.Â
The investigation is still ongoing. Police said Jordan is armed and dangerous. If you see him, do not approach and call 911.
