CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WAND) - A second teenager was arrested for a shooting that happened in February in Champaign. 

The Champaign Police Department arrested a 16-year-old on a search warrant in the 900 block of Fairoaks Drive on April 9. 

Champaign police were sent to Stratford Drive just before 11 p.m. on Feb. 18 following reports of gunshots. A 26-year-old man had been shot multiple times near Sangamon Drive. 

CPD said the man was in the 900 block of Stratford Drive when he was shot and left the area in a vehicle while calling for help. 

Police previously arrested a 17-year-old for their role in the shooting on March 19. They were charged with aggravated battery with a firearm and attempted murder. 

Due to the ages of both suspects, their names will not be released.
