Death investigation underway in Beardstown

BEARDSTOWN, Ill. (WAND) — Illinois State Police are investigating a suspicious death in Beardstown.

Illinois State Police says, troopers were called to the 1400 block of Clay Street in Beardstown Friday.

When troopers arrived, they found a male dead in a vehicle near the residence.

ISP says there are no known safety concerns for the community regarding this incident.

An autopsy is schedule for Saturday June 1st in Springfield.

Results of the autopsy and pending toxicology results may take several weeks.
