Decatur Abandoned Residential Structure Fire

At approximately 7:33 a.m. on September 12, the Decatur Fire Department responded to a reported structure fire in the 1500 block of East Prairie Avenue.

DFD had just responded to the abandoned house on September 12 for a fire.

Firefighters used a ladder truck to reach the roof and get the fire knocked down.

The fire department believes the cause of the fire to be suspicious due to this being the second call there in such a short time. The Decatur Police Department has been contacted to investigate.
