RANTOUL, Ill. (WAND) - The Champaign County Regional Planning Commission hosted an open house at the newly renovated Early Childhood Education Center.
The center has now been open for three years and used to be an Air Force base on Illinois Route 45Â beginning in 2003.
Some of the new renovations made were new windows, new floors, toys and a new playground.
"Funding was for us to do a couple of things - one ADA Compliance issues - (so that) our facilities are not only welcoming but are accessible. It also gave us (money) to really renovate the building and be in a good learning environment," said Chief Executive Officer Dalitso Sulamoyo.
Some of the windows in the building still need to be fixed. The project is expected to finish by early December.
