Decatur Public Schools hosts community forums for Roadmap 2030 initiative

DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) - Decatur Public Schools District 61 hosted open community forums on Wednesday for the second phase of its Roadmap 2030 initiative.

It helps the district develop a plan for important improvements by 2030.

Two forums were held at Eisenhower and MacArthur High Schools, giving families a say in the development process.

"What we want is everyone to feel like they want a voice in articulating the vision for what Decatur Public Schools could be. And so, as we're building the plan, we wanted people to feel like early on in the early stages, they can tell us what's most important for them," said DPS Sports Services Training Administrator Jay Marino.
