DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) — St. Teresa High School has appointed a new advancement director.

Starting with the 2026-27 school year, Kari Ferguson will take over for Dr. Ken Hendriksen, who retired after 19 years in the role.

Ferguson is a Decatur native and an Eisenhower High School graduate. She has a finance degree from the University of Notre Dame and worked as a financial analyst for a Chicago-based consulting firm.

"I am thrilled to begin this new chapter as Advancement Director at St. Teresa High School," Ferguson said. "I am excited to work alongside our students, families, alumni and supporters to strengthen the school community. I look forward to advancing the school's mission and ensuring that future generations continue to benefit from excellence in Catholic education."
